I bought this album, "Six", new - vinyl (we called it wax back then). I think I wore this cut out; lots of choice bud around in those days. Anyway, it's haunting sound, well . . haunts me from time to time. It's really nice to hear it again. In fact I just ordered the album - CD this time. None of that choice greenery to go with it now, ah but I can recall . . . . sort of. It does take me there.
Thanks for the post.

@Beadbud5000 The story is from a 2nd century AD Greek romance "Daphnis and Chloe." Pirates sail off with Daphnis' lover Chloe. From shore, Daphnis plays his flute to lure the cows in the ship to one side, the ship sinks, and Daphnis swims out to rescue Chloe. The composition follows an ABBA structure: (A) harmony / order, (B) abduction / disruption around 3:03, (B) rescue at 6:26 with transition /reverse music at 6:37-6:40 (A) return to harmony / order 6:41-end.

@penndraegon You're correct. Ratledge did write this one. One of my personal favorites.

It's one o' clock in the morning, and I'm drinking some wine, a little bit drunk already, and this sounds just SO PERFECT! THIS IS HEAVEN! Oh, if I had some weed right now...
