It's still limited to three strongholds per world. And they are able to be found by using Eye of the Ender.

So if you find any Endermen, make sure to kill them all.

Brian, did no one tell you that you can feed the rotten meet to your wolf and it will heal the wolf without problem? Then you don't have to use your store of cooked chicken keeping him alive.

You should tame a giant pack of dogs and take them with you on the overworld for harvesting purposes. A full entourage of bodyguards. :P

On a serious note, zombie meat doesn't make them sick, so it's a great option for healing. Also, they teleport to you if you go too far.

Hey Brian, first time Minecrafter playing along with you (or at least, started at the same time). Find it odd you call gold practically useless, I've been running dry of it, using it for powered rails.

Suggestion for your first build:

Dig to the bottom of the earth. Clear out a nice, flat area and surround it with fences. Then, tame every dog you encounter and bring them down there to live.
