  • @mohsun123 I have

    XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB

    And gs 800w gaming psu

if i want to run crossfire do i need to upgrade my psu ?

  • @MasterSighlis555 depends on the graphics cards you are using.

    2 5770s will do well on 600 watts+

    2 5850s will do well with 750 watts+

    2 5870s will do well with 850 watts+

    2 5970s will do well with 1000 watts+

  • If doing CF with HD5750 or 5770, This should be just ok.

  • Exactly. So there's not much "logic" in evidence in that statement.

  • Awesome Power Supply.... There is a long ago that wanna buy one for me

  • no by that logic, they all come out of the same spot at the wall :)

  • Sure, but by that logic, the 12 volt rail is the same thing as the 3.3/5 volt rail.

  • If I'm planning on doing Crossfire, should a 600W PSU be enough?

  • well they are linked up together at some point.

  • ...not really. They're often regulated together, but they usually have separate OVP and OCP.
