  • I've never seen this training method before, but my guess is that it trains your hands/arms to give your throw that sudden "snap" after you have them off balance?

  • Absolutely. It develops both grip strength and bi-lateral snap.

  • I have taken this system, and noticed several styles of Chinese martial arts have used the belt similarly for training. For instance some styles of Pakuaquan and other throwing styles often of Chinese origin that focus on throw have similar training. The belt gives way to a heavier chain type training.
