Never trust any juction or other road user. When im out on a twisty road and im going round the bends. If i see a juction and a vechile i will slow down even if i think they have seen me. I dont trust other road users but i do nip along looking where im going not at the speedo. Control and observation is where good riding comes from. Race track techiques can help your riding. If you ever needed to do an extreme manover then fast riding experience and techique could save you from disaster.

@LeviathanRan The biker could have positioned towards the centre of the road to make himself more visible to the driver and further from the danger. He could have slowed more or considered a horn note or main beam flash if the driver seemed unaware of his presence. He could have chosen to wear better high visibility gear before setting off.

the trouble is people think their limits are alot higher than what they are and pay the price

This video should be played on the telly round about now just as the born agains and power rangers are preparing to blitz the twistys and give the ambulance crews sleepless nights wondering what the wkend will bring. Make progress yes but do it safely and think, not all road users are riding/driving to advanced standard and they do the most stupid things in the most stupid places. Kevin williams has got it spot on, on his website, survival skills, advanced lads can also learn from it too.

Isn't the point about anticipation of eek! and/or damage limitation in the event of a collision?

Thanks for the comment. Worth remembering, go at your own pace and within your own comfort zone. It may not seem as quick, but overall progressive is.
