Funny video. Peacock on Longboat Key, FL encounters the reflection of himself on cars. The cocky bird is particularly partial to black vehicles. The woman in this video is not a paid actress but really a vacationer who became a victim of the brutal peacock attack. 3/30/08

  • This poor bird (Indian Blue cross) isnt trying to attack the car but his own reflection!!They do this during the mating season so the healthiest and most vigorous triumph over the scrawny. He 'sees' this handsome male and attacks! I keep peafowl and love 'em. They don't actually damage the cars as the marks from their feet wipe off (eventually!) Best thing to do is get out of the car and distract him with food (e.g. peanuts, bread, cheese. Clean, dark cars are worse as reflection is greatest.

  • They live in a hella rich neighborhood.

  • OMGGGGGG MY BMW NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • The word was quickly spread on Anna Maria Island and soon their was a massive roundup and every single bird was delivered to the adjoining island.

To this day, AMI does not have a single peacock.

    Funny story.......

  • Whenever I go to Whitney Beach, I find time to check out the peacocks. Sometimes you wil see a dozen or more in one yard.

This peacock population inhabiting the northern edge of LBK once roamed freely on Anna Maria Island. AMI residents grew tired of the noise and the damage to their cars, because the droppings burns through the paint. Some residents of AMI and LBK were having a few cocktails one evening and the LBK contingent thought it would be cool to have them.

  • i want to live there. hot girls and peacocks

  • What a bunch of assholes!! Exotic and not the thing you normally see every day, but these birds should be rounded up and kept in captivity. Letting them roam around on public land in a built-up area is not a good idea. Imagine letting your kids roam the streets where they might be attacked by these things. What would you want?

  • India blue cross? What is he crossed with? LMAO

  • Poor little brave thing. He's trying to protect his flock, and keep other larger males away. He sees his reflection and thinks he's being challenged. I see this in Florida where I live.

  • She is Hot at 2:25 wish Bird would mount her... Fuck the Bird run it over
