Geek Brief TV #467

The latest Apple TV update [1] breaks Boxee. I'm sure Boxee will come
up with a fix soon enough, but I'm disappointed, as I am in the
copyright protection [2] on the MacBooks and MacBook Pros. Thanks to
Jeff McCord [3] for the tip. The Bottle Top Tripod [4] could potentially be used as a steadicam
for a point and shoot camera. If you try it, leave a comment and let

Vizio announced [5] a new 55" LCD HDTV to it's Vizio XVT line. It may
just be my first 1080p TV. The VSB210WS is a High Peformance HD Sound
Bar and Wireless Subwoofer kit, meant for a tabletop or it can be
mounted on a wall. It'll be available in January.

Neal and I fell in love with Loft 523 [6] years ago. It's a
boutique hotel in New Orleans that does simple modern design right.
Each room has a Fortuny Lamp [7], designed by Mariano Fortuny in the
1920's.
