Carly & Lawrence: The Big Secret Part 2

In the last clip something so shocking happened that it could only have been perpetrated by the most evil man in Salem: Lawrence decided that the best way to find out the truth about something was to ask the person most directly tied to the event. Actual, direct communication! In Salem! Unfortunately it took Lawrence two episodes and multiple hissy fits to actually get to talk to Carly but well, it is still Salem. Meanwhile, Carly tries to explain Isabella's diagnosis to an especially thick John. We could chalk it up to denial, except that John somehow lists "exercising, taking care of Brady and the Toscano Foundation" as activities that would surely tire anyone and then, as the coup de grace, "NURSING Brady." It's not a high IQ day for John, also he refers to Carly as "Dr. Manning" like they just met and says "somebody blew it big time." Knowing John Black, is it any wonder he moves from the stages of grief at warp speed to settle into anger?

This leaves us once again with Lawrence as the most sensible man in town. Lawrence, unlike John and RKKBo, when confronted with a visibly upset Carly actually asks her what's wrong and attempts to comfort her. Lawrence Alamain, the man whose hobbies include plotting to kill people, thinking of ways to kill people, ordering people killed and pretending to kill people in order to spirit them away, this is the most sensitive guy in Salem.

All is for naught, though, because Carly lies to Lawrence when he asks her about the baby and his sensitivity evaporates in less time than it takes John to fly off the handle. Still, a great scene between CC and MS. Also, yet another shot of the doctor's lounge table of assorted beverages. This is one well hydrated hospital.

love these old clips but wish they were all in order so it would be easier to piece them all together. Trying to watch it like a full episode but not sure what clips go with what. Like which clips are first, big secret or secret revealed, vivs heart attack etc etc. Too bad they dont have dates on them :(

I love rewatching these old Lawly clips. Thank you soooooooooo much Jane for posting them. I still love this couple as much today as I did nearly two decades ago! MS and CC have smokin hot chemistry!!

You're welcome. Lawly? Hmmm .. I don't know if I want a mashup for them. I kinda anti-mashup but that one isn't so bad. MS and CC do have oodles of chemistry together but they seem to have chemistry with almost anyone.

Boy, wasn't he direct and to the point? "Did you have my baby eight years ago?" then they start playing that music..... wow, I LOVE these scenes... MS and CC are sooo good together!

You're right, I forgot to commend Lawrence for not only being logical and sensitive but also being direct. Wow. That's three adjectives that are rarely applied to Days behavior.

I'm one of the handful that loved the Lawrence/Carly pairing and still do. Not many real-life couples have good on screen chemistry after being married for so long but MS & CC certainly do not faulter in that category. They're still steamy.
