  • can u a demo of these playing some metal, through your engl? i'm interested in getting a calibrated set of afwayus. Your tone is sweet dude.

  • @asianaxeman hey man the ENGL was my friends he left with me for a while, but I've got both a triple recto and a DAR Forza, so I can do a quick demo on those hopefully in the next week if you like?

  • @DMarlow83 yeah that would be brilliant mate, heard good things about the DAR. The afwayu set sound very sweet, i'm soon going to pull the trigger but there aren't many high gain lead or rhythm clips, especially of the neck pickup. I want to see if the set is tight when boosted with an OD and if they're articulate for sweep picking with good attack on individual notes. Thanks again.

  • @asianaxeman hey man, been swamped, could be a while before I can drop another video going to be out of town for about a month. Also, these pickups have a very dry sound to them, but yet still can be fluid, just very clear and articulate and don't do well with sloppiness at least in my opinion. I don't know if i'd recommend these specifically for sweeping, but then again I'm not a big sweeper at all... not really my deal. I'd say the growl is part the guitar part pickups, guitar is a beast.

  • dude.... I can take any 2 single coil to wire them series out of phase and I'm sure that you pickup will be much weak than my hybrid... no offence but it didn't worthy...

have not heard of the principle 'humbuckering'? in short: if you compare the results of a series with a humbucker humbucker obtained by joining the two single coil (all series - but soldered in series out of phase), you'll notice that there's a big difference on the output in general. .. hybrid obtained will be more versatile and potentially more powerful than the humbucker, plus they will have a very crystalline tone that you can set whether you want from a tone knob

I think not the amp is the problem here... but your pickups are, because from what I heard they have a harmonic oscillation frequency continues on a fairly large output impedance...

  • @kordosoft wtf?
