Zion Canyon Native Flute School 2009

Beautiful Zion National Park in Southern Utah provided the backdrop for the 2009 Zion Canyon Native Flute School. This year, the School expanded to a six day intensive, with four tracks, for the newest beginner to the seasoned advanced master player, plus a special track focused on the Anasazi Flute. We also included sessions this year specific to the Healing Drum.

Classes addressed jazz flute, composition, ensemble performance and the healing flute presented by great facilitators from across the nation. Students came away with the ability to play with confidence and an understanding of rhythms, tones and improvisation.

The music track is "Lone Wolf Cub" by Eric Miller and Clint Goss, from the SpiritGrass CD.

Missing from the credits: SCOTT AUGUST facilitated the Anasazi flute track.
