John Denver presents The Tonight Show (1977), Part 1 - with Carl Reiner

Here we have the first of four clips featuring John Denver as guest presenter on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show in 1977.

This clip follows immediately after John sang 'Calypso'. It begins with a conversation with Ed McMahon.

John's guest here is the actor and director Carl Reiner who had just directed John and the veteran comedian George Burns in the great Hollywood movie 'Oh God'. They talk together about the enjoyable experience they had working together.

John sang 'Annie's Song' as well as the above mentioned 'Calypso' on this show. These clips have already been posted to my profile.
