Too bad Shenmue 1 was stuck in that sucky backwater village. I wouldn't mind playing a whole game set on a ship (original plan for S2) or in Kowloon.

No, this is actually called Kowloon Walled City, you can search it in google, the walled fortress was torn down in 1993.
