How to Swaddle a Baby Russian Style

I bundle my son into a Aden and Anais swaddling blankets. Aden and Anais swaddling blankets are awesome for this, they are big enough and they are made of thin cotton so baby does not get too hot.

Swaddling works very well for our baby because he keeps waking himself and gets very grumpy and spent sooo much time trying to settle him. Just be aware that the feet really need room to move or there can be problems with their hips (Hip displasia).

@blank069 Yea the way this bundle works you can see all the tightening is on top and his legs have sack like area where they're pretty wiggly :D

I don't wanna be mean, I'm just interested. why do parents swaddle their babies like this? I don't understand it, because the babies can't move theire arms and legs... I don't like this feeleng... so, can anybody explain this to to me? thank you. (sorry, my english is bad, I know...)

@basilikum83 Because when babies are in the womb they are cramped all into a little ball and when they wiggle they work their muscles so when a baby is swaddled it reminds them of being safe inside the womb and swaddled babies get un-swaddled all the time due to wiggling and working their muscles against the sheet.

@banjosandwashboards Thank You so much, he does have alot of hair and now he has a dual color hair his very top is darker where sides and back are dirty blonde. Our Dr even asked to make sure that we didn't dye his hair!
