Also, the religious beliefs of the founding fathers isn't as important as their political beliefs. They were wise enough politically to recognize the importance of the separation of church and state and the freedom of religion. The effect of their political and societal genius is more important than their philosophical and scientific shortcomings.

Ahhh, so atheists are just being rebellious? Perhaps you're right. We are rebellious against academic dishonesty, religious dogma, the intellectually vacuous path of comfortable paranoid fantasies (c/o Thunderf00t). We rebel against those who suppress reason, those who trust their stomachs before their minds, those who believe it is their duty to quell the scientific and intellectual progress we've made since the renaissance only to return us to the dark ages.

lol...first of all, simply because a majority concur, does not make something true. Secondly, if you dig a little deeper into our "founding fathers", you will find that several were not religious, or even atheistic. And yes, 76% or whatever the number of people that subscribe to a creator are to a certain degree, Insane. Mostly because they were brainwashed in thier formative years. Religion should be considered child abuse.

Maybe you should dig a little deeper, 50 of the 52 vfounding fathers were members of an orthodox Bible believing church.
It is sad that in America and in the world people belief things because it is the minority belief just to be rebellious
