Those most enthusiastic about campaign finance reform are the media and elected officials, backed up by special interests who stand to gain. What campaign finance reform restricts are speech from alternative sources of information and viewpoints that DON'T dominate the media. Naturally, the liberal media loves a monopoly, since these laws never restrict them.
Yep, Mitt's spinning like a top, throwing out good sounding platitudes about money out of politics, spending limits and knowing where the money's coming from (the last of which I can support). AFAIK, he didn't support McCain Feingold, but he's not someone I would trust to hold the damn against it. BTW, Bush also decided that wasn't the hill he was going to die on.
Mitt is not talking about a U.S. Presidential Campaign. He's talking about local leadership campaigning and he said he thinks it's not necessary for someone in local leadership who only has to win over ONE state to have to raise all these millions and millions of dollars. It shouldn't be necessary to have so much money playing in a small election. But a nationwide election... that NEEDS to have a ton of money since you have to win over 50 states!

Money plays an important role in politics whether like it or not.

Go easy on Mitt. We need him to split the pro-war vote.

Gosh nice spin, but Mitt's still dipping into his own money to buy popularity contests.
Face it, he's a fake with no courage. Willard Mitt Romney is a coward without principles.
After all, he shouldn't need you to speak for him, let him answer his own flip-flops.
