  • my 8 year old sanyo sw30 has 1500 ansi lumens so it brighter than this one

  • @keunsoo2000 Samsung claus LOL

  • Actually, this is far far far from terrible. There really isn't much difference in most film scenes when taking 1080p vs 720p at a normal viewing distance. The difference is generally more noticeable on wider in focus shots and even then if you are a certain distance away the difference disappears. This model was compared to a high end CRT projector, which have long been considered the kind of overall image quality. Apparently, it beat a Marquee 8500 8" CRT in all areas but black levels.

  • 700 calibrated lumens is actually more than enough for home theater. Most units touting 1,500-1,800 lumens in home theater models don't reach their specs and once calibrated for image quality the numbers drop significantly. If your home cinema projector calibrates to 700 lumens you have a bright home theater projector, because most calibrate to quite a bit less once dialed in to D65 standard. I've heard this set is well calibrated out of the box, so maybe the manufacturer is just being honest.

  • 720p seriously stfu this is terrible!
