  • Oil should be changed when engine has just been used, and hot, to stir up any sediment in the bottom of the oil pan. It's also a good idea to pre fill the oil filter before reinstalling on the engine. It might not make a big deal, but better safe than sorry. Don't rev the engine at all, till that filter is full. Although a pain to work with, good advice on the gloves. No V6 Subarus that I know of.

  • Oil should be warm - drains better. Also you should use neoprene gloves - oil is a contaminant and known carcinogen so skin contact should be minimised. There's no connection between air filters and oil changes - they have very different service intervals.

  • aren't all Subarus FLAT 4 and 6 engines???

  • HAHA V6,

  • that was a nice first date

  • Lol yea man and I'm pretty sure your suppose to change oil when its hot...

  • Sows huge credibility when you don't even know what your changing oil on...

  • LOL at 3.0 V6.
