Suicide Vid 1 - Austin and Me - Suicide in the Family

This is the first video in a series I am doing on suicide. In this video I talk about my brother Austin's suicide, one month after his 15th birthday. I also talk about my suicide attempt (1 of 2 in my lifetime) 2 weeks after my 15th birthday.

Bipolar disorder and suicide
The depressive phase of bipolar disorder is often very severe, and suicide is a major risk factor. In fact, people suffering from bipolar disorder are more likely to attempt suicide than those suffering from regular depression. Furthermore, their suicide attempts tend to be more lethal.
The risk of suicide is even higher in people with bipolar disorder who have frequent depressive episodes, mixed episodes, a history of alcohol or drug abuse, a family history of suicide, or an early onset of the disease.
The warning signs of suicide include:
▪Talking about death, self-harm, or suicide
▪Feeling hopeless or helpless
▪Feeling worthless or like a burden to others
▪Acting recklessly, as if one has a death wish
▪Putting affairs in order or saying goodbye
▪Seeking out weapons or pills that could be used to commit suicide

@CrazyDazzlinAshleigh I'm not really sure what you are asking. If you are asking how or why, I don't think we can ever know for sure why people comit suicide. We can guess, formulate, but it is can be a very private matter. The person often does not express the true extent of their pain to family & friends & most don't leave a note. The best we can do is know that their pain has ended.

@carlose0318 Thank you. I think that is a really big part of it. They can't see beyond what is happening in that moment or beyond their current emotion or state of mind.

I'm 100% convinced that the only people who enjoy life are retards (this includes religious people, stupid people, etc), and those who seek entirely to suck the good out of others (ie: human parasites, greedy, materialistic, egotistical, etc). Keep in mind these two categories account for 90% of the human population.
