Spy shot Inside Lego R&D - NXT EM Gun

Spyshot from inside Lego R&D, of new prototype accessory for Mindstorms NXT, apparently electromagnetic device went haywire and shoot a ball at high velocity! Back to the drawing board!

i think that it is a coil gun gougle it to find out how to make one and wath it is if you dont know

i dont think thats an electromagnet. electromagnets have a coiled wire that creates a magnetic field. i dont think the blue plastic ball that came with the NXT is magnetic either. but i could be wrong.

In the description it says that whatever they're doing is electromagnetic and I've heard that sometime electromagnetic waves can make things do that.
