I love this movie as much as it annoys me. I find the Wraith scenes artistic and compelling but the Rohan vs Orc scenes make me want to puke they're so ugly.

Read somewhere that Orson Welles narrated the trailer for this. Looked it up to see if it was his voice, but although it sounds like him, the shitty sound quality makes it difficult to be certain. Is this indeed Welles?

Orson Wells is just awesome! Listening to this reminds me so much of Ricki-tiki-tavi when he did the narration for that animated movie. Thanks for posting this!

@smonoco I agree with you totally! The Rankin-Bass version sucked ass! I love Bakshi's LORD OF THE RINGS precisley because it's made for older audiences, it's NOT a kid's movie.
