hi i am considering to buy the compaq cq57-404tu i need this for homework are internet surfing i was curious to know if a 6gbram and 320gb hard drive was good is good enough for my schooling needs and i will also need to save a lot of files in this laptop i live in new zealand so everything is slightly more expensive here is it worth me spending $999(nz) on this laptop with the laptop bag, mouse,8gb memory stick & microsoft office home and student. confused and need help fast :)

@rhea3009 This will do fine for what you need. It has plenty of space for your files and you can add more if you need to simply by sliding in a memory cad. The price does not sound good though . I got this one for $300 so thats up to you.

If you want a (good) netbook buy a dell inspiron mini 10. its one of the best netbooks ive upgraded to windows 7 ultimate and to 2gb of ram it now much faster and i think thats it proberly even fast as that compaq their!

Thank you so much, this has really helped me decided. I didn't intend on getting the acer, I have and acer now. The Aspire 5741-A and It is HORRID for game play, watching videos and programmes like 4oD ect. This acer looks awfully tacky, not even having a driver pft. I'm getting the Compaq this week and this review has defiantly put my mind to rest. Thanks!
