WTC 2 30 floors in 3 seconds

The rate of collapse in the WTCs was approximately 1.3 seconds per 10 floors. The rate of free fall in a vacuum is 0.84 seconds per 10 floors. Actual collapse time for a non demoed tower, or a pancaking tower, should be 96 seconds. WTC 1 & 2 collapse in under 15 seconds.

@tsnyder83 Why would One Meridian Plaza engineers evacuate due to potential pancake collapse with fire only remaining on two floors if its so absurd that fire could weaken steel? Do you know more than structural engineers? Your views are in opposition to theirs and I'm going to take their word over yours. Fire causes steel to fail.

@tsnyder83 Watch the winsdor building in Madrid - /watch?v=nz-WVJ0zeXE The top 11 floors were steel only and they collapse due to normal fire after only 2 hours and 13 minutes even though they aren't even supporting 50 football field sized floors above them. Still think steel won't collapse due to fire? One Meridian - steel only fire smaller than WTC and firefighters put out 75% of fire before engineers said to evacuate due to possible pancake collapse but sprinklers ended up putting it out.

When the plane hits you can see the sky full of paper floating down that was ejected by the concussive force of the explosion before the fireball reached it. How do you think steel is formed into the shapes we want it in? Fire. Do you think steel supporting thousands of tons needs to be liquified before it gives out?
