I listened to Paul Harvey on the radio growing up. Years later, in the 1980's, I had a funny "encounter" with him. I was in Scottsdale, AZ walking through the shops/art galleries. A lady (his wife Angel I suppose) was standing by the curb, when Paul Harvey (!!!) walked out of the men's public restroom and "announced" to his wife in that classic Paul Harvey style: "There's...no...toilet...paper...in there.... Let's Go." And that was my encounter with Paul Harvey. I'll never forget it.
I Remember George Also and when i was young He was one of the Major voices for my coming into The Seventh Day Adventist Faith Many Many Years ago.

George Vandeman was a giant, a man of great integrity and intellect. And his daughter is just as sharp.

Yes he was a great man. I used to watch him all the time when he hosted It Is Written.

George Vandeman was a true man of God. Gentle and soft spoken. Much like Jesus probably was.

What a great tribute to Paul Harvey. A lot of information I did not know about the friendship between G. Vandeman & P. Harvey. Thanks for posting!
