being im the creator of the video. its my opinion that this music is way more "GNARLY" than that asian crap people call techno. i mean cmon. rock goes with drifting perfectly, it show how savage the 86 is. i mean, wtf would make a ae86 video with the song 24's?

So what do you think of the Nissan S12/Gazelle which was a complete knock off of the AE85/86? I mean it was given a fairly decent power source.. CA/FJ motors had similiar curb weight except with the VG30E V6 it was around 500 lbs heavier. I'd personally have chosen S12 over AE but whats your opinion on the car?

That was my mistake, the Japanese AE85 was available with the same 4ag but also the weaker 4ac that we got and the slightly more unusual 3a.

Hes talking about the Japanese AE85. Different from an SR5. SR5 is still considered a AE86 , just not a GTS model.

If you're talking about an AE85 then you're a little off. The 85 is the SR5 model of the AE86. The same in appearance but with the SOC carbed 4AC instead of the 4ag.

They also generally came in auto and have drum breaks in the rear rather than the desirable 4 wheel disc breaks.

This makes the AE85 an under performing wanna be AE86. We're you talking about a different 85?

85 is better... so what if its a 1500 cc engine ?? its nearly 100 kg lighter ( with the same engine, less of a bore though )

also slightly looser suspention .

makes a better drift car then the 86 as most 85's dont have a/c or any luxerys. :)
