  • How long to does it take to complete the installation?

  • Depends on your hardware to be honest.

  • instead of burning the .iso to a disk, cant i just use daemon tools?

  • If you're installing it in a VM you can. However, if you're installing it on a separate partition as in this video you have to burn it to a physical disc.

  • Awesome vid, but one question. Can I access windows folder/files like pictures, music etc files? Or do I have to put same pictures, music etc files to ubuntu? or what? I dont get it.

  • You will be able to access your Windows partition from Ubuntu. It will show up as an ejectable drive. The Windows partition cannot be in hibernation though, or you will not be able to access it.

  • "amd" is the company thats makes the processer, like intel.

  • Yes, Linux needs a swap partition in order to run optimally. If you use the automatic partitioning method described above, it will create one for you.

  • dont you need to make that swap file or something???

  • ty for your reply.

    1. amd 64bit means that i got a 64bit system,when i 2click the wubi.exe it downloads the exact file amd64bit.iso version.Thats what it recognizes.

2.the x86 iso was also downloaded and installed with the exact same probs.

I also have posted there and still waiting for a reply.Time is on my side i will wait. :D

I think its the PCI express gfx card that is x16 and the slot on the mobo is express simple, making my card work on lower "power".

    all versions are 8.10.not 8.04
