Time lapse of closed loop heliostat control demonstration

A prototype heliostat developed by Google reflects sunlight at a target, using a closed loop control algorithm that uses target mounted cameras to sense the location of the reflected light spot, and re-orient the heliostat's reflector accordingly. This control mechanism can deal with passing clouds, changes in the heliostat's physical position (e.g. ground settling), or static deflections due to wind.
