I'm so glad this version of "Metropolis" has finally been released on DVD.

@gugenheim84 True that this song is very appropriate for the false Maria. Just as Pat Benatar's "Here's My Heart" was so appropriate for the real Maria. That song showcased what a lovely voice Benatar could have.

@yoann1978 You realize my post was a quote from the song don’t you? Never the less, I’m glad to hear from a Tyler fan who knows about her music, and I want to tell you that I think she has the only voice who could interpret that song in the movie with its sinister implications of a false Maria. Thank you for the heads up on the two versions.

Wow! I have always like this song and this vid is so much cooler then the mtv one I have seen before. I have been LMAO as the scene at 1:22 looks EXACTLY like an old friend after she had a few to many drinks with a Lude or two on top! Thanxs for the memory's!
I graduated with a BFA in Film Studies and have seen many ecelectic films throughout my studies but METROPOLIS, bar none continues to give me a sense of awe and disbelief. Fritz Lang's vision was incredible with characters that moved me and the visual spectacle that engaged me. The top 100 of all time!!!
