This is part 2 where Bob Jackson of Target Fluid Services www.targetfluid.co.uk tested a gear pump and found it to be faulty.
Bob removes the pump and shows the evidence of over pressurisation.
A new gear pump was fitted and tested. Many thanks to Williams Shipping for allowing us to make the video.

  • Question ,is a hydraulic pump the same as a motor? can they be switched ? specifically the Harbor freight pump.

    Many thank you for your interesting question.

    The answer is that in theory pumps and motors are the same and can often be switched.

    However, manufacturers sometimes design for one use only.

    Always best to give them a call with the part number and ask the question rather than take the chance.
