Archaeologists examining the remains of the city of Babylon have found what appears to be the foundation of the tower: a square of earthen embankments 91 meters on each side. The tower's most splendid incarnation was probably under Chaldean King Nebuchadnezzar II who lived from 605-562 BC. The King rebuilt the tower to stand 91 meters high. According to an inscription made by the king the tower was constructed of "baked brick enameled in brilliant blue". The terraces of the tower may have also been planted with flowers and trees.

I am just wondering, If the tower of babel was built & it was a sin to build it, then what was the great Pyramid? & if the pyrimid was built first then why was it not distroyed?, Could this mean the tower that was built is actually the great pyrimid & not a zigarat in the city of babylon. The bible says Nimrod was a Mighty hunter (a conquor) not a builder. would that not mean he conqored babylon, & is not responsible for building it. babel means confusion, is confusion & a city being mixed up?

@MistyMarie1970 Tower of Babel is in Babel, Pyramid is in Egypt, I'm sure the profits wouldn't find it hard to distinguish between Babylon and Egypt
