I use SmartRipper to grab my DVDs and use AVS Tools to do clipping.

Nice, I never really got around to downloading any of those dvd ripping programs, I really should, I have so many movies and shows I would like to make videos out of. I actually just made hellboy Video (YES!!!) I just need to get around to uploading it

WOW!!! THAT IS WHAT I AM GETTING AT THE END OF THE SUMMER!!! Windows movie maker hasn't been working right on my computer (makes no sense)

I suggest converting to AVI with uncompressed video. It may be WAY larger with file size but it comes out better. I used to use mpeg, but red and shadows came out blue-ish XD

Adobe premiere is the way to go, if you're doing amv's I mean, I made my best using it, check out my Dawn with the sickness vid. But yeah, Mpeg isn't too bad, but the reason most of my vids come out low quality ish, is because I use Dazzle recording to get my footage, which means, I own all of my footage, and am literally ripping it from a dvd player lol

Nice, you use WMM i assume? You could work on some little parts and you need to see what you can do for video quality (granted it is on youtube [anti quality XD] )

Actually I use Adobe premiere, this is not my best work, I was just itching to use my advent children footage, and I have to convert all my video files to mgpeg, to make them small enough for youtube XD

Once again, I see the artistic talent of a potentially really good AMV editor limited by the hot garbage that is Windows Movie Maker. You have some real talent here. A great eye for scene selection and a keen sense of timing. You really NEED to get Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro, and perhaps After Effects. WMM is like painting with a mop. It's like dry humping. A lot of effort, feels good while you do it, but you end up embarrassed in public like you have a sticky wet spot on your jeans.
