Single Rectifier vintage vs modern channel

First is vintage, then modern. Kt77 powertubes and Doug's rectifier preamp tubes. MXR 10EQ in the loop played through Schecter C-1 Elite with EMG 81s.

@1148bucknasty - Don't remember the exact EQ sorry.. the 10 band EQ is amazing for the rectifier you can really dial out the mud or boominess messing with the right frequencies

@chandler513 3db is a pretty noticeable difference to me. I switched from a 50 watt rec to a mark iv (85 watts). The mark Iv gets much louder.

50 watts is only 3 db's less than 100W it's NOT HALF the volume. 3DB is NOT a lot AT ALL. 10 watts is half the output of 100W 5 watts is half the output of 50w 50W is PLENTY loud. 100W just has a little more head room than 50W
