Lots of strikes and emotion? I don't think I saw Anthony display any emotion the whole time. Maybe a few non geniuine smiles to make other people happy.

Avery, you bowled a fine game. You just let one ball get away from you. Unfortunately that's one ball too many when Earl Anthony's your opponent. Your performance was far superior to that of Emmet Schutz (apologies if spelled wrong). Honestly, Earl out-bowled you pocket-wise but I would've liked to see you win anyway. RIP Earl Anthony.

The first time I watched Earl Anthony bowling was back in 1978. I was very impressed with his bowling persona - very professional and calm. His bowling technique is practically flawless, effortless, and smooth. Though he is no longer with us, Early Anthony will always be my favorite. R.I.P.

@bigyodatheman I don't think it was the best senior title match -- the title match from the 1991 AMF HPL Senior Open (in which Earl also bowled) is up here on YouTube somewhere. That one gets better and better as it goes along. This is still awfully good, though :)

If it bores you then don't watch it!

I was there,to see the greatest win one!
-
this first was played on ESPN 8 "The Ocho", right after dodge ball and Venezuelan women's underwater basket weaving.

Earl Anthony: 12 almost identical shots to the pocket. Amazing.
Earl is still the King!

Poor Avery! Earl usually loses these types of matches. Earl was the King!
