In this episode we play a famous piece by the French composer Camille Saint-Saens called The Swan. It is a part of the Carnival of The Animals which is an orchestral suite but this is a section where the cello represents a swan and the accompaniment represents the rippling waters that the swan glides upon.

Four years ago (in my last year of high school) , I had a cello recital in which I decided to play the Swan. I had a lot of trouble with the piece. However, I found your video on you tube, and would follow along as you played! It really helped!

Thanks for this video. The swan is most likely going to be one of my entrance audition pieces and I was really struggling with what positions to play what notes with. With notes from your performance, I've got a much better handle on it.
