Right now I am on my verandah (it's an old queenslander, they don't have "patios") watching the lightning cracking over the canefields. I am sipping on Bundy liqueur over ice, it is about 5 minutes from sunset (not that you would know, it is so dark out) and the faces of my family are lit up by each lightning strike as we watch the storm. Yes, there is a certain texture, a certain smell....heavy days
