Costa Rica happiest and greenest nation in the world

Costa Rica ranks first in the Happy Planet Index and is the greenest country in the world according to the New Economics Foundation. The HPI measures how much of the Earth's resources nations use and how long and happy a life their citizens enjoy. Costa Rica was the first country in the world to constitutionally abolish its army. Costa Rica has consistently been among the top Latin American countries in the Human Development Index, ranking 50th in 2006. The country is ranked 5th in the world, and 1st among the Americas, in terms of the 2008 Environmental Performance Index. In 2007 the Costa Rican government announced plans for Costa Rica to become the first carbon neutral country by 2021. Another thing, costarica is right now living in a war, a civil war against crime.

There may be no official army but policemen can scare you, because they are very corrupt and threatening. The country is flood by drugs, been in every single town small and big with 2 exceptions and you can see at night the crackheads walking in the streets

Each day is a very violent homicide and a new corrupt politician is unmasked, this is no paradise or hell. Is just a lie that thing about "peaceful country".

if costarica is the happiest country in the planet, i DONT want to be in the unhappiest! What i feel is that "costaricans" are hipocrites, i rarely see happy people there, and no one respects nature, the big majority dont care about nature or animal life, its all a lie, just like in usa.

Country people on the other side, are sweet and humble. Stay away from the cities/ major towns (crime rate is rising badly) and its going to be alright.
