@akl3g better ride quality and if you want performance the 3800 has forged internals and can be modified for reasonable price to put out as much power as a front wheel drive car can take
I'd rather have a good 'ol american buick than the lexus ls460 that the magazines compare the buick to. My grandfather bought a '84 regal limited (beautiful champagne car) with the 3800 (when it was still called the 231) new and sold it to my mom in '98 and if it hadn't been wrecked with 145,000 miles on it, we would probably still be driving it. That was one VERY reliable car. Better than the 2 Chrysler products we had at the time.
