@MusicFeedsYourSoul In a way yes and no. Kaito's soul is within the crystal as he had exchanged his life for miku's voice. He is pyshically dead but he is spiritaly alive.

@TigressWhite Kaito as stated that he would offer everything to the sea witch for Miku's voice in exchage. The sea witch took it seriously and as a result the sea witch took Kaito's life for her voice. So Kaito is dead.
