A new version of this, playing Bob Amstadt's Karl Hoyt 6 string bass. It's 32" scale and tuned E-F and has got me seriously lusting after getting a bass like that. It just sounds amazing...
The tune is an old Curtis Mayfield tune, covered by loads of people including Rod Stewart, and this is my solo chordal arrangement of it, with a little looped bit in the middle for a solo.

you know, i was working on a solo arrangement for this on my good ol' four-string thunderbird a while ago...
and this arrangement is considerably better than mine! i'm gonna go back and work on it some more.
