O engraçado é que o livro de Arthur Clarke explica muitas coisas. Kubrick que resolveu adaptar herméticamente. Mas não há nada de enigmático no filme...o monolito abre "portais" (worm hole) para outros universos. Tbm uma inteligência avançada escolhe em qual momento e onde o monolito será usado. Não é algo aleatório ou algo figurado.
