This video presents the founder and Executive Director of Empowerment and Development Centre for Africa (EDCA), giving a brief summary of the organization's activities geared towards addressing the current societal challenge in Cameroon, and the strategic objective.

3) increase death rate caused by HIV/AIDS and Cancer.
4) Inadequate Care and Support given to vulnerable children and women living with HIV/AIDS and Cancer.

EDCA's source of Inspiration:

EDCA's drive for development stemmed from the
1) excessive marginalization of women at all levels of the society.
2) Maltreatment of widows and orphans by in laws who claim to be respecting some traditional malpractices which perpetrates this maltreatment.
3) Misconception of HIV/AIDS in the local communities and insufficient knowledge on positive prevention.

EDCA's Current Activities:

1) constitute beneficiary groups of task forces for eventual capacity building on income generating activities, education on Human Rights, sensitization of HIV/AIDS and Cancer.
2) provide Home based Care and support to sick beneficiaries.
3) Give educative talks on nutrition, wellness management, self assertiveness and participation in decision making.
4) train groups on the preparation of local immune boosters from aloe, garlic, ginger and 'njancer' amongst others.
5) organize clean up campaigns in grassroots communities and educate them on the importance of trees planting.

EDCA's objectives to be realized by 2016:

1) More women are empowered to make wise decisions over their own lives and their community.
2) More women are able to occupy and efficiently manage leadership positions.
3) there should be Gender equity and female participation in development.
4) More women be socio economically empowered to run sustainable income generating activities.
5) Existence of documented local customs and national laws protecting women especially widows and orphans.
6) Reduced number of deaths amongst women caused by HIV/AIDS and Cancer.
7) People Living in a healthy and green environment.
