Obscure Anime: Wandaba Style

Dr. Tsukumo, is not only one of Al Gore's paranoid Global Warming fanatics (no offense if this describes you), but he's also a nutjob conspiracy theorist (take offense if this describes you). But we don't hold any of this against him, after all, he's only 12 years old. Dr. Tsukumo claims that NASA faked the apollo moon landings, but unlike most conspiracy theorists, he actually believes a journey to the moon is possible. But jet engines and would just pollute the earth's atmosphere on the way out, so Tsukumo decides to try a more eco-friendly approach. He tries everything from slingshots to carbonation to a ski jump.
I'm pretty sure you're thinking, the astronauts hired to go into space for him are paid very well to put up with this. Actually no. Their not paid very well, infact, they're not even astronauts. Music producer, Michael Sagata, meant it LITERALLY when he said that he wanted to shoot his band to the moon. The reluctant band members of the band, Mix Juice, however, decide to comply. Besides, its not everyday you are the first band who gets to hold a concert on the moon. Problem is none of the band members can seem to get along. Yuri Fuyude, who use to be a rock star, is an egomaniac. Sakura Haruno, not the same one from Naruto, who was a children's singer before joining mix juice, has an unbelievably heavy temper. Himawari Natsuwa, who sang traditional Japanese music, is really pompous about the style she use to sing. And Ayame Akimo, a former hippie folk singer, and has invisible fairies on steroids that only she can see.
Wandaba Style is an anime a 12 episode anime, garenteed to be a great thrill ride full of gut bursting laughter. Its out of print at the moment, but a rerelease is not unlikely, and the thinpacks without extras are cheap and abundantly available.

I saw all the episodes of Wandaba Style! Plenty of fanservice, lunacy, weird inventions and in-house chaos!
