UNICEF: Queen Rania of Jordan in Brazil

SÃO PAULO, Brazil, 27 October 2008 As part of an official state visit to Brazil, UNICEF's Eminent Advocate for Children, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, visited the UNICEF-supported Aprendiz City-School, a non-governmental organization located in the Vila Madalena district of São Paulo last week.

During her visit, Queen Rania became familiar with this 'school for life' a programme which represents the best in education. The school recognizes that being educated is much more than just reading and writing and works to address the needs of children, their families and the community.

I was very impressed with my visit this morning to the UNICEF-supported Aprendiz City-School here in São Paulo, said Queen Rania. I was particularly inspired by the interest in learning of the children and adolescents who are benefiting from this innovative education programme.

Queen Rania does loads for her own people. She is a great force for the empowering of Women in Jordan, working on allowing women to have greater access to education throughout the middle east.

She also helps all muslims by trying to educate western leaders about Islam and muslims, helping people overcome discrimination.

Why shouldn't she go to Brazil? it was on a state visit and things like this obviously help her promote Jordan, which is the whole point of state visits.

she is fighting to get equal rights in her country. and many of her fellow muslims are turning their backs on her because they don't agree with her. she is truely amazing. and she has a youtube channel that you should check out before you judge her. you should also research her and her country a little more.
