I listened to this song over and over when my ex-wife left me for another man. I was so hurt. And everytime I saw her with someone else (at that time) I thought about the lyrics to this song. What makes a great song? If it sparks an emotion. For me it was those moments. For you? That is what makes this so so strong. Because it means SOMETHING for everyone. Great Job MeatLoaf...and thanks.

This man inspired me when a first heard hes voice and since 1986 at my age of 5 started my love for his music and good help me ill pass it to my son's. My the 80's live for ever........

Nearly 30 now. Got dumped a couple days ago (year and a half together) out of the blue. I could have handled that but the worst part is how I'm the only one who cares. If there were even some indication that the memories we made together meant something I could understand. To her it's like I never happened. I love Meat Loaf so much because he conveys the awful side of love so well.

I work at walgreens as well. I hear this song at LEAST twice in a shift. I too searched youtube just to know who sang it. I've done it for a few Walgreens songs to tell you truth. Such artists like Imogen Heap . . . Fireflies . . . one by Bruce Hornsby that i thought was a damn jamacain (sp?) was singin' and also a song by One Republic. God i miss when walgreens played SOME good songs consistently. These days i actually look forward to 6 a.m. because THAT'S when i know a good song MIGHT play.

This is not the worst song that plays at Walgreens. In fact, my co-worker Pat sings this song all the time, even when it's not playing!
