Darlene Hard and Francoise Durr lost the first set 0-6 in the women's doubles final of the 1969 US Open. Hard and Durr finally won a game in the second set, and they laughed with embarassment when the crowd gave them an extended ovation for doing so. Hard, who had been out of the game for six years, suddenly found the touch on her volleys, and they pair won the second set 6-3. Hard served out the match in the 6-4 third set, and it was one of her most satisfying moments in tennis. This clip shows Hard serving in the first set, Wade serving to win the first set, Durr serving to win the second set, and Hard serving to win the match.
