Nice vid - A must watch new "sketchers", and highlights the benefits of using the "Ctrl" key modifier too!
Just to point out one minor flaw in this approach - using a half circle makes a distorted screw, when comparing the front view to a side view. The initial pasted curves, should appear as a "sine" wave, when viewed from any angle. As-is, it looks like a "S" from one direction, and a "zig-zag" from another. (Parallel projection - front vs. side)

@tahwnikcufos You are correct. I noticed this when making a DNA type spiral. When I stretched the spiral, it was more then evident that it wasn't a perfect continued spiral.

I am only getting a flat surface after I draw the line and activate shape bender. The longer I expand the triangle, drawing the line, and activating shape bender, the wider the flat surface. I am using GS8.0 and Windows 7.
