@BlazeBorginSL I always tought the same thing, I suppose it would be as simple as rewriting the rendering function to make it compute reflections for these prim faces or with a shader... Shouldn't be so hard...

@AdeonWriter And there's no way to just be able to apply a water surface to a prim?

@BlazeBorginSL It was pretty much just before WL came, i think they didn't even release a official client with it, it was avaiable a couple beta versions before the WL beta and for a few betas it lived side-by-side with WL, though with each new versions with WL the functionality got worse and worse.

@TiagoTiagoT I saw some clips of that time. Seemed like a while ago, well before windlight was added.

@AdeonWriter I would expect prim mirrors would have way more uses and create much more "atmosphere" than water reflections...
Couldn't water reflections be done in manner similar to how reflections on flat surfaces (like a cube face) was done with almost no modifications?

@TiagoTiagoT When water reflection code was being added, it conflicted heavily with prim mirrors, so prim mirrors were removed entirely. Long ago. Before the viewer was open-source.
