  • hey there you know what i want to see? egyptian guys doing like lebanese depke. i am egyptian/american in chicago and there are alot of felesteeni here and all i here from them is how the egyptian guys cant dance depke. lets prove them wrong! can you make one? pleeeeease! i wanna prove to them we are universal! thanks

  • What a strange thing to say to an Egyptian. No they don't do Debke and they also don't do Flamenco because THEY'RE EGYPTIANS. Debke ISN'T an Egyptian dance. There are some Lebanese and Palestinians who think that the whole Arabic speaking world is Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Its just plain ignorant of them not to realize that Egypt and the rest of North Africa has their own UNIQUE cultures. Be proud of who you are and what makes YOU unique.

  • obviously you didnt understand what i ment. i know masry ppl dont do depke its suri, felesteeni and labnani thing. i just ment as a way to show we can do it. and i am very proud of being egyptian thank you very much. didnt have to take it personally

  • I'm not mad at you habibti. I'm just saying what you need to tell people when they say such ignorant things to you. And yes, there are many Egyptians who CAN, if they want to, do a Debke. Check out some of Karim Naggi's videos.

  • This is what I consider true bellydance---a dance of the people, real people, a dance that expresses the Middle Eastern culture, their heritage, their way of life. Thank you for such a wonderful video, Tarik. :)
