  • @KLFD29743 I really understand how you feel. Whenever I listen to Ayinla I get completely carried away. Last time I was at home people couldnt understand why I was going about looking for Ayinla's music to buy. I do like other apala as well, but Omowura is different. Special thanks to yormeey, EgbaAlake, planetolusola and grooVemonzter. Ile ola yin ko ni di ahoro!!!

  • @KLFD29743 You are right, you got to listen to Ayinla O attentively to appreciate his command of words (sometimes in funny English) and his confident presentation.

  • @xythinker I can empathize completely with your sentiments. I felt that way longtime ago and ever since I do not listen to any other Yoruba music but Ayinla's. It is not usual for me for me to find excuse in going to Nigeria but with the primary intention to go trolling and searching for Ayinla's music. My wife can't understand why I am so singularly mindedly focused on one particular artist... I tell her it is inexplicable!

  • God bless your hands yormeey

  • @yormeey KAYODE SALAMI & EMMANUEL ODENUSI,both were Recording Engineers @ Phonodiscs and EMI respectively.Odenusi also worked extensively with FELA ANIKULAPO.In addition to his Band members, these were the people Anigilaje referred to as the brains behind him.Not to forget his indefatigable producer,Alhaji Taoreed Adedigba.

  • All the way from the Harvard Yard, I say a big THANK YOU for posting this unique music. I guess I am now growing old because I used to loathe this man and his brand of music but when I recently heard it after all these years, I almost cried because of the strong memories it brought . Needless to say, I have not stopped playing it since. Thanks so much.

  • Check out the "Shekere" sound at 2:12...Oh My gawwwd! I doubt if you can ever get a computerized reproduction of such quality musical instrument, it's just classic!

  • "Iyawo de! Omo onigbese tofe jelerun...Eni wole won wole oro..Iya tobi L'ojo daju daju!!"

  • Yormeey, e se pupo. This is oneof my favorite songs of ALL time, Genius! I particularly enjoy the playful lyrics, albeit it's sometimes condescending of his nemesis. I grew up in Ota, close enough to Oke Olumo so I am very familiar with his music & history. I remember Killington Ayinla being a big fan of Omowura. - Are Ona Kakanfo - San Francisco, CA USA
