Great video....finally a detailed clear close up of what actually happens. Not just a "ok here's what ya do, now do it"

Dude. It took me like a few days/weeks to get it down but i can get it every time. Just keep practicing. There's no more to teach than this guy said. Just practice it.

I'm trying this when I get home... I finally found out what this damn technique is called... I feel like an idiot lol. Should sound nice on the PRS SE with EMG 81/85s... I should get this in no time!

Do different PUs make it easier or harder to make good pinch harmonics?

due i like the video but the deep voice and the way you tarted off in the beginning sorta sounds like a pedofile. that's was just my opinion but great lesson i learned how do do another style of harmonics now

dont you have to do something with your other hand?

no - firmly fretting the note will produce a 'pinch' harmonic, vibrato or a bend will add sustain/color to the harmonic though.

how long would u expect for a learner to get the hang of this

I think that really depends on your existing picking style/technique - could be minutes, could be days. I find that a lot of beginning players are sort of timid when it comes to striking the strings, apply some attitude/force. I also find its easier to get one when you are learning if your pick hand is more parallel to the top of the guitar with your thumb inline with your wrist - than a classical style where your pick hand is more perpendicular to the strings.
