Have to say though that there is no such thing as a MK5 Cortina. Ford facelifted the MK4 in 1980 and just called it the Cortina 80. There is no official mention of a MK5 anywhere. Had the Sierra continued the Cortina legacy then that would have been the MK5... not MK6.

whereabouts is that scrapyard? would love to have a afternoon in there for some parts for my tina crusader

It's a shame that the Cortina was only recognised as a classic when there were hardly any left. Most were scrapped and banger raced to death, and now less than 1% of the 1.3 million Mk4 and Mk5 Cortinas sold are left on the roads or on SORN.

Yes that would be Lous yard and yes he still has the MK1 Fiestas only two there tho from what i can see.

Hey up mate thanks for the comment the field of Cortina,s is hidding in deepest Liecestershire its somebody i got to know throught Flickr but i am actually located in Wakefield West Yorkshire i just go down to Lieseter for parts this Cortina i have at the moment is my second i have owned and restored keep checking for a 2nd video when i make it.
